The Coast Academy’s vibrant community of dedicated and talented teachers is critical to the success of our program. Our comprehensive and robust model emphasizes project-based, standards-aligned learning; innovative practice; and a supportive environment where everyone is committed to providing exceptional learning experiences.
Team Teaching
All our classes are team-taught by experienced, professional teachers, Assistant Teachers, and Interns. These teaching teams work in a creative, collaborative environment and are encouraged to use innovative teaching strategies to prepare and inspire our middle school students.
Small class sizes and a team-teaching model ensure that students receive the one-on-one support they need to strengthen fundamental skills. Simultaneously, this also provides Aim High alumni and other low-income students of color with meaningful job opportunities that inspire them to pursue careers in education.
Benefits
All of our educators receive immersive professional development, collaborative planning time, and a strong community of support from colleagues, site directors, and instructional coaches.
